Luke 17
34I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. 35Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left."
37"Where, Lord?" they asked.
He replied, "Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather."
Say what??
I bet one of us knows what that's all about, right?
(By the way, in case you were wondering about verse 36, some manuscripts include a verse 36 as follows: "Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.")

OK. I'll try again. This time I'm logged in.
Jesus is talking about the Kingdom of God, which starts after the Battle of Armageddon and Jesus returning to the Mount of Olives and lasts 1000 years. But there is a bit of a time delay between the later and verse 34. Call it mop up ;-)
Only believers enter this millennial kingdom on earth. All the others will be "taken away." It's sort of the reverse of the rapture. But I admit I've never thought about where they are taken away to. It doesn't sound pleasant, does it?
BTW, it isn't the obscure passages that get me. It's the ones I understand all too well!
Uh, Jesus is the dead body and we're the vultures? Creepy.
